Man charged after 82-year-old man attacked at Birmingham bus stop
A man has been charged after an 82-year-old man was left with serious injuries when he was attacked at a bus stop in Handsworth, Birmingham.

Muntahar Ahmed, 43, was arrested in connection with the attack that occurred near the junction with Boulton Road at about 3.30pm on January 14.
The elderly victim was waiting for the number 74 bus on the Soho Road in Handsworth when he was attacked and left with serious injuries.
After the attacker left the scene the victim was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
West Midlands Police's Det Supt Shaun Edwards, of the force's Major Crime Unit said that police were reviewing CCTV and interviewing witnesses following the incident. But now a suspect is due to appear in court on January 18.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "We've charged a man after an 82-year-old man was left seriously injured in Handsworth earlier this week.
"Muntahar Ahmed was arrested in connection with an attack on the elderly man in Soho Road at around 3.30pm on Tuesday (14 January).
"The 43-year-old, of no fixed address, has now been charged with wounding. He has been remanded to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court tomorrow (18 January).
"The injured man remains in a critical condition in hospital.
"We're continuing to ask for anyone with information, particularly any dashcam or mobile phone footage, to send it directly to our officers here: Public Portal (mipp.police.uk)."
