Raul Sharma, was under cross examination at Wolverhampton Crown Court where he was asked about his movements leading up to the alleged killing of Miss Kempster.

The woman, who was in her 40s, died hours after being found with catastrophic injuries in Kingsland Road, West Park in the early hours of June 16, 2022.

Sharma claims he didn't know Miss Kempster, though he may have seen her before,  as he was a regular visit to Wolverhampton's red light district.

On the night before the incident, he had been walking around the Newhampton Road and Kingsland Road area after being dropped off by his parents.

The jury heard he was seen on video and CCTV wailing and walking in the middle of the road, also kicking a road sign which dislodged it.
