National Express West Midlands has announced that services running to and from Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital will be diverted for more than a month due to ongoing roadworks.

Many people from the West Midlands, Black Country and Staffordshire visit the hospital each day to either seek medical aid, travel to appointments or work.

The regular QA stop will cease to operate from today until March 7 to make way for major roadworks on the route.

During the month of disruption, the 20 and 20A will use a temporary stop outside the hospital and opposite the bus stops at Hospital Way.

A National Express West Midlands spokesperson said on X: "From Friday 17th January until Wednesday 5th March approximately, stop QA at Queen Elizabeth Hospital will be closed due to roadworks.

"During this time, services 20 & 20A will use a temporary stop outside the hospital and opposite the bus stops on Hospital Way."

More information on the updated bus route can be found on the National Express West Midlands website
