Marston's has begun the refurbishment work at the Glassworks pub in Stourbridge, which is set to cost more than £290,000 and take about three weeks to complete. The pub closed on Monday (January 13).
Upon reopening, the pub will have a newly created bar area where locals can pop in for a pint and a bite to eat and watch sport from Sky Sports and TNT on 4K, big-screen TVs and a new, dedicated ‘family lounge’, with everything designed around families’ needs.
A new food menu featuring pub classics and pizzas will launch, alongside the popular kids’ menu; with little servings of pub favourites for over-5s and a ‘build-your-own’ option for under-5s.
The pub will also continue to serve its popular traditional Sunday roast, with guests able to choose between roast beef, turkey or chicken, complete with mashed potatoes, roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, homemade Yorkshire pudding, stuffing, and gravy.
General manager John Griffiths said: “We’re incredibly excited to announce the refurbishment of The Glassworks, to welcome our community; whatever the occasion.
"There will truly be something for everyone, whether it’s a quick drink at the bar, a place to watch this year’s biggest sporting events or for spending quality time over a family meal.”
