Bradley Smith, 36, of no fixed abode, has been charged with intentional strangulation, harassment without violence, burglary dwelling - attempt grievous bodily harm, burglary dwelling - no violence, criminal damage to property under £5,000 and intimidating a witness.
The list of charges comes following a series of separate incidents in Tamworth, Staffordshire, between Boxing Day last year and January 4, 2025.
Staffordshire Police officers responded to reports that the same narrow boat had been broken into on two separate occasions, with one man being assaulted. Thankfully the man didn't suffer life-threatening or life-changing injuries.
Officers also responded to reports that a woman had been assaulted inside an address and a separate report where criminal damage had been caused to a home.
Smith appeared at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on January 15 and was remanded in custody ahead of his next appearance at Cannock Magistrates Court on February 24.
