An inquest has been opened into the death of a West Midlands Police officer and young mother who died suddenly a week before Christmas.

Bethany Wooldridge, aged 27, was found unresponsive at home in Park Lane, Worfield, near Bridgnorth on December 17 last year, leaving behind husband Josh Wooldridge and three children: Tommy, aged four; Lylah, aged seven; and Alyssia, aged 10.

Shropshire Coroner’s Court was told that paramedics attended and performed advanced life support but, despite their best efforts, Mrs Wooldridge could not be saved and was pronounced dead at 8.31am.
