Two arrested after vehicle stopped in Walsall

Two people have been arrested after West Midlands Police stopped a vehicle on Bentley Lane, Walsall

Police stopped the vehicle at around 4.40pm, with West Midlands Police saying that enquiries are continuing.

A West Midland Police spokesperson said: "We’ve arrested two people after a vehicle was stopped by officers on Bentley Lane in Walsall this afternoon.

"It happened at around 4.40pm, and enquiries continue." 

The National Express West Midlands service 41 was forced to diverted following the emergency services led incident.

National Express West Midlands announced that the service 41 will now follow Wolverhamtpon Road and Bloxwich Lane. 

National Express West Midlands said on X: "Due to an emergency service lead incident at Bentley Lane, Walsall. Service 41 is on diversion in both directions via: Wolverhampton Road and Bloxwich Lane. 

"We apologise for any disruption to your journey."

Emergency services have been approached for more information.
