In its annual price comparison research, Which? found the budget supermarket to be on average £131.13 cheaper per month than Waitrose throughout 2024. 

It also won the accolade in 2023, 2022, and 2021, as well as being named the UK’s Cheapest Supermarket every month last year.

Over Christmas, Aldi recorded its 'best ever' festive season with total sales up 3.4 per cent year on year in the month leading up to Christmas, topping £1.6 billion.

December 23 was the busiest-ever trading day for Aldi nationwide as it served nearly three million customers in total.

So what is Aldi doing better than its competitors? I went down to Aldi on Howard Street in Wolverhampton to ask shoppers why they keep coming back.
