A 36-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man in his 40s died at a property in Dudley.

West Midlands Police have arrested a man on suspicion of murder after another man died at an address in Dudley on Saturday. 

Officers were called to an address on Swancote Road by ambulance colleagues just before 2.30am.

A man in his 40s was found with injuries, and despite the efforts of medical staff, nothing could be done to save him. 

Following enquiries, a 36-year-old man in Wednesbury was detained a few hours later. 

He was later arrested on suspicion of murder and is now in custody for questioning.

Police remain at the scene while officers carry out further enquiries to determine what happened. 

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We're carrying out door-to-door enquiries but we're keen to speak to anybody who may have information to assist our investigation.

"We're interested in anyone who may have dashcam or doorbell footage.
