Council ordered to pay £2,000 in pothole case after motorist's life was made a 'misery'
Wolverhampton Council has been ordered to pay a motorist around £2,000 in a dispute with a motorist over pothole damage to a car.

Nick Birch, aged 56, claimed his life was made a "misery" by his dealings with the council after potholes damaged the courtesy car he was driving at the time.
The council said it was responsible for almost 500 miles of highway and took "potholes extremely seriously".
A small claims court heard that the dad billed the council for the around £430 cost of repairing the vehicle after it was damaged in Clifford Street in Whitmore Reans in December 2023.
