Walsall Council's proposals to support the borough's businesses will go before a meeting of full council on Monday, January 13 as part of the authority's new plan designed to shape its priorities over the next four years.
As part of the scheme, the council says it wants to increase the number of local businesses operating in the borough, grow local jobs and skills, and harness the region's geographic and industrial heritage.
Around 8,000 companies currently call Walsall their home, and the authority says it wants build new relationships with "strategically important" businesses in the region - and attract new investment to help develop Walsall as a "centre of excellence for manufacturing and green jobs."
"We want businesses to build roots in Walsall and invest in their future in the borough," the council plan document says.
