Fire crews tackling large scrapyard blaze near Birmingham city centre
Firefighters are tackling a blaze at a Birmingham scrap metal yard that is sending plumes of smoke billowing across the area.

Roads near the premises in Landor Street in the Duddeston area have been closed and residents advised to keep windows closed as crews work to bring the flames and smoke under control.
Around 30 firefighters were tackling the blaze at its height after they were called to the scene shortly after 10pm.
West Midlands Fire Service posted on social media platform 'X': "Crews currently dealing with a large scrap metal fire off Landor Street, Birmingham. Road closures are currently in place around the site. Local residents to keep windows closed.
"We still have 5 crews dealing with the large scrap metal fire off Landor street, Birmingham B8. Road closures are still in place around the site. Local residents are advised to keep windows closed due to large amounts of smoke in the area."
