Chambres Rose in Sedgley will be closing down at the end of the month, marking the end of nearly three years of providing a quirky café experience.

The café on Mill Banks has been a place for bottomless brunches, indulgent donuts and desserts, blind boxes full of cakes and treats and even unique events such as a Halloween séance.

A message on the Chambres Rose Facebook page announced that the café would be shutting the physical shop at the end of January, but also wanted to reassure customers of future plans by the owners.

The message said that while the closure of the café had not been an easy one, the Chambres Rose name would live on through outside catering and online sales.

The message read: "Happy New year to all our customers.

"As we enter the new year, we have some sad news as of the end of January, Chambres Rose café shall be shutting.

"It's not been an easy decision, but as some say "as one door closes another opens", so for our Sedgley café, it's the end, but not the end of us.

"We have the opportunity to offer outside catering for events our brownies and bakes will be going online with local free delivery and our Afternoon Teas will continue but as takeaway.

"This is going to free up some extra time to work on the things we aimed to do to begin with.

"So please continue to follow as I'm so excited to show everything we have coming up and the new lines of Afternoon Teas and bakes we will be working on in the next few weeks.

"For anyone who still has gift vouchers these can be redeemed in the shop till the end of January or they will have 12 months on takeaway (free delivery).

"We would like to say a huge thank you to all our customers and their ongoing support, some who have gone from customers to friends.

"The customers who have told their friends about us and promoted us, without you we wouldn't of achieved what we have so far and will be forever grateful.

"We would like to celebrate the time we had in the shop, so over the next few weeks so we are going to be running some of our old offers so please pop in and see us before we close the doors for the final time.

"We will also be setting up a mailing list list so if you know anyone who doesn't use social media but would still like to stay in contact, they can use our website which will be updated in the next few months.

"Hopefully, we will see everyone in the future still so it's not a goodbye, it's a see you soon."
