The Gym Group's 'first closure since 2023' to hit West Midlands gym
One of The Gym Group's West Midlands locations is set to close on February 7 in it's first closure in over a year.
The Gym Group, which have 245 gyms nationwide - including locations in Wolverhampton, Perry Barr and Sutton Coldfield - will close the doors to it's Birmingham City Centre gym early next month.
Members of the gym recieved an email this morning (January 7) giving them notice of the decision. Members will be able to access the gym, which is located on the High Street, until 12pm on the closing date.
The decision marks the first closure The Gym Group has made since 2023. The group opened 12 new locations across the country in 2024 but have decided to close the City Centre gym to ensure sustainable business.
A spokesperson at The Gym Group said: “We have made the decision to close our Birmingham City gym on 7th February 2025.
"We have five gyms nearby, a total of 11 across Birmingham, and will be supporting our valued members with offers to relocate and continue to train with us.”
There are no further closures planned in the West Midlands.
