Man charged with drug offences after mobile phones found in Essington

A man has appeared in court charged with drug supply offences after police found mobile phones in a South Staffordshire village.

Officers discovered the devices in Essington, near Wolverhampton, between August 2023 and January of this year.

Shane Soal was arrested and charged with two counts of being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug of class B (cannabis), a Staffordshire Police spokesperson said.

The 20-year-old, from Essington, appeared Newcastle-Under-Lyme Magistrates Court on Monday (January 6) and was released on bail to appear at Stafford Crown Court on February 3.
