With the festive period drawing to a close, decorations being taken down and the excitement of everything the new year will bring starting to muster, families up and down the region will slide back into normality until the next holiday swings into play.

But there's always one pesky question left in the new year:  Where can I get rid of my Christmas tree?

Thankfully, there are a host of different places where residents across the region can recycle their Christmas tree this year, and some will benefit from a home-delivery service for a donation.

Partnering with JustHelping, C&W Commercials and Wolverhampton Tree Services, Compton care is running a tree-cycling drive, where locals can stick their tree outside their house to be collected for a 'suggested minimum of donation' of £15 on January 11 and 12.

Another charity - The Mary Stevens Hospice  - will also be taking your unwanted trees, picking them up from home as long as they're dropped outside the front of your house by 8am tomorrow, between January 3 and January 6.

Outside of those options, councils are advising locals how to make use of their household waste and recycling centres - so there's an option for everyone this year.
