Two left with injuries following Amblecote crash

The crash happened in the early hours of Thursday morning (January 2).

Emergency services rushed to the scene of High Street, in Amblecote, Dudley, at around 7.41am to reports of a road traffic collision involving one car. 

One ambulance attended the scene, where on arrival, they discovered the vehicle which had been involved in a collision on the road.

Paramedic teams discovered two patients, an elderly man and a woman, who were the driver and the passenger of the vehicle, who had both received injuries as a result of the crash. 

Both were assessed by ambulance staff before being conveyed to Russell's Hall Hospital.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 7.41am to a road traffic collision involving one car on the High Street near Stourbridge. One ambulance attended the scene. 

"Upon arrival, we found an elderly man and woman who were the driver and passenger in the car. Both were assessed by ambulance staff and conveyed to Russell’s Hall Hospital."

West Midlands Roads urged motorists intending to use Amblecote High Street to leave extra time for travelling following the collision. 

The group said on X: "Amblecote High Street, Dudley. Multiple-vehicle road traffic collision. Allow extra time to travel."
