Launch of new initiative to give Wyre Forest businesses a boost for the new year

Council chiefs have launched a series of events to help businesses including those in Wyre Forest communities to thrive.

Worcestershire County Council said the scheme is aimed at helping enterprises to develop new strategies and take advantage of technological advances. 

 The year will be kicking off with TechFest running from January 27-February 6 featuring 10 events and webinars to give opportunities entrepreneurs, startups, and established businesses to connect with industry leaders.

 This will be followed by a skills show on March 5 and 6, plus the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership’s flagship initiative, Worcestershire: The BIG Conversation March 13.

 The county's economy boss Councillor Adam Kent says“2025 offers a chance for Worcestershire’s businesses to move forward with confidence, even as we all navigate the ongoing economic challenges. 

"Our Business Support team is here to provide practical help—whether through energy-saving solutions, research and development funding, or expert advice and coaching. We understand the pressures businesses are facing, and we’re committed to equipping you with the tools and support needed to adapt, grow, and succeed. Together, we can tackle the challenges and create a foundation for sustainable, long-term success.”
