Regan Williams, who lives in Willenhall and works from West Midlands Fire Service's Oldbury station, ran a route that visited all 38 fire stations in the West Midlands, running more than 26 miles a day.
The 25-year-old's huge challenge was all to raise money for the Fire Fighters Charity, which provides advice, support and a crisis line to anyone in the fire community, including retired fire service workers.
Regan, better known as Ron, has so far raised £3,182 via his JustGiving page - anyone wishing to donate can do so there.
"I'm not a runner, by any means, but I've always kept myself fit," Ron said.
"I just thought it'd be a good challenge to raise money for a good cause."
He began his 'Station 2 Station' challenge at Binley Fire Station in Coventry on Friday and finished at West Midlands Fire Service headquarters in Vauxhall Road, Birmingham, on December 24.
On the first day he ran 25 miles and on Saturday he covered 31 miles, visiting nine stations.
The service and its firefighters and staff have suffered many losses in their community this year, including former chief Wayne Brown in January and six other members of the service since then.
Speaking of the Fire Fighters Charity, Ron says it has been a 'pillar of strength' for him and his colleagues through the hard times.
"I'm raising money for them because they look after the health and wellbeing of everyone in the fire service in the UK," he said. "They've got a crisis line for people who feel like they've got no-one to turn to.
"They support families who are grieving, people who are recovering from illnesses and trying to get back into work - just a lot of different ways of supporting people, firefighters, retired firefighters, and people within the fire service community."
Those who wish to donate to Ron's cause can do so here.
