Woman to appear at crown court charged with murder of Staffordshire father on Christmas Day

A woman is due to appear at Birmingham Crown Court tomorrow (Tuesday) charged with the murder of Staffordshire father Louis Price in Norton Canes.

Kirsty Carless, aged 33, from Cannock appeared at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Saturday and was remanded in custody.

She had been questioned by police after father of six Mr Price, aged 31, died in the early hours of Christmas Day at a house in Elm Road, Norton Canes.

Fresh floral tributes to him appeared outside the house this morning.

After his death, his family paid tribute to him, saying:  "He was a well-known member of the community, always had a smile on his face and brought a positive energy to anywhere he went.

“He always had time for anyone and would help anyone he could. Louis was a devoted fisherman, he had a passion for fishing and regularly went away on trips with friends and family."

Staffordshire Police have renewed an appeal for more information on the incident and said: "Anyone with any information that can help with our investigation is asked to get in touch by using our Major Incident Public Portal: https://orlo.uk/ShgDH
