The daughter of Albion and England legend Jeff has been awarded the MBE in the New Year Honours list for her work to support footballers with dementia.

She was nominated for the award along with Penny Watson, the wife of former Sunderland and England defender and FA Cup winner Dave.

Both have campaigned to raise awareness of the impact of heading footballs on health, and have achieved a number of breakthroughs in recent years in an attempt to make the game safer.
