Police charge woman with the murder of Norton Canes man Louis Price

A woman has been charged with murder following the death of Louis Prince in Norton Canes.

Police had been questioning Kirsty Carless, 33, of Cannock, since Mr Price died on Christmas Day. 

Cannock Police released an update this morning (Saturday): "Kirsty Carless, 33, of Cannock, has been charged with murder. She is due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today.

"We were called to a report of a man in his 30s in cardiac arrest inside a home on Elm Road at 3.25am on Christmas Day (Wednesday 25 December). The man died at the scene shortly after. Officers are continuing to support his family at this time."

After his death the family of Louis paid tribute to him, they said:  "He was a well-known member of the community, always had a smile on his face and brought a positive energy to anywhere he went.

“He always had time for anyone and would help anyone he could. Louis was a devoted fisherman, he had a passion for fishing and regularly went away on trips with friends and family. "
