The force said the incident happened around 4pm and saw the boy, who was walking on the road, hit by a motorbike, which then left the scene.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Fortunately his injuries were not life-threatening, but we are asking the public for help identifying the rider of the bike.

"We have been investigating since the collision, but no witnesses or footage of the collision have surfaced.

"If you were in the area at the time and have dashcam footage, or if you saw the collision happen, contact us via 101 or Live Chat quoting log 3296 of November 15."
