The list of heartfelt messages on the City of Wolverhampton's Rotary Club's Tree of Remembrance grows ever longer as families and friends leave touching tributes to those they have lost.

The latest messages will be added to the Rotary group's website to create a poignant list for people to reflect on for years to come.

As well as leaving touching messages, people were also invited to leave donations to the group's chosen charities, helping to fund life-saving initatives around the West Midlands.

The lights were switched on the Tree of Remembrance last week with Mayor: Linda Leach (in red) and City of Wolverhampton Rotary president Lorraine McCarthy on hand with Mayors Consort: Pete Mason.

The charities this year are Sponsored Breaks, a local community interest company that provides camper van holidays to those most deserving, MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Therapy and Oxygen Centre, Compton Care Hospice Trust and Rotary Club of Wolverhampton Charitable Trust.

As well as having their lovely messages included on the Rotary Group's website, the heartfelt messages will also be displayed in the Express & Star for all to read.
