Shaz Saleem runs the Saleem Foundation and teamed up with other organisers of the KIngswinford Charity Truck Convoy on Saturday night. The event was started in 2014 by Andrew Day and is now dedicated to his late wife Rachel, who passed away in August 2021 after battling liver disease.
This year, the five hour convoy of over 60 trucks, which ran through Bilston, Coseley, Dudley, Russells Hall, Pensnett, Kingswinford, and Wall Heath saw thousands of people line the streets. The event was aimed to lift spirits and create awareness about the importance of organ donation.
Mr Saleem, who set up his foundation and registered charity five years ago said: "I have had the pleasure of being part of some amazing moments in my life, but last night, it has to be my most amazing experience yet.
"Thousands of chocolates were given out, which was donated by so many kind-hearted people, including over 60 truck drivers that took part in the convoy.
"RB Fleet Solutions Ltd donated a Play Station 5, which was a prize for one lucky winner from only 50 golden tickets that were on the section boxes given.
"It was absolutely lovely seeing so many people having the opportunity to take pictures with Santa, the sliegh, and the trucks in Kingswinford after the convoy was completed.

Andrew Day said: "Thank you to everyone who took part and turned up - it was great seeing all the kids' faces light up and I would personally like to say a huge thank you to Andrew Day, Kim Macklin, Lee Hicks (Director of RB Fleet Solutions Ltd) and to Gary (Grinch). But also to everyone involved for their time and input into the event."
