Meet the cute cats near Wolverhampton looking for a home at Christmas as rescue centre struggles after spate of bad luck

Kat's Cradle in Coven in South Staffordshire, near Wolverhampton, has more than 100 little mouths to feed this Christmas all whilst facing huge vet bills for some of their adorable residents. 

Founder of the cat rescue charity, Debbie Brookes-Hemans, said they've had a spate of bad luck after terrible weather conditions forced them to cancel a number of fundraisers over the past few months, leaving them struggling to pay for necessities and bills. 

They are currently caring for 70 kittens and around 52 adult cats. 

Debbie, who founded the charity twenty years ago, says she is relying on the kindness of the public to help get the charity through the expensive holiday season.

"We are really struggling," she said. "We have many cats that are in our care, and we are now sharing another fundraising appeal after we lost so many events over the months due to the bad weather. We've got big vet bills and lots of mouths to feed. 

"We hope that, instead of sending a Christmas card, people can donate a small amount of money to us to help feed those that we have in over the Christmas period."

Dennis and Murray (pair)

Age: Less than 1 year

Gender: Male

Dennis and Murray have been hand reared after being found at a few days old. They love nothing more than having sleepy snuggles and giving kisses.

Carrot

Age: 12-18 months

Gender: Male

Carrot is a gentle giant and a little timid around new people. He's seeking a quiet home without children or dogs. He could be housed with a quiet female cat but not with another male.

Meg and Maz (pair)

Age: 1 year

Gender: Female

Meg and Maz are two loving sisters who have always been in care and are longing for a new owner that they can share their love with. 

Enya

Age: 18 months

Gender: Female

Enya was found living in a garden with her babies. She is a sweet and quiet cat who loves other cats, and is able to live with children over seven years old. 

Fantine

Age: 1 year

Gender: Female

Fantine is a quiet, sweet cat who likes fuss and love once she trusts someone. She is happy around other cats and needs access to outdoors. She can live with other cats and dogs. 

Isadora and Zelda (pair)

Age: 1 year

Gender: Females

These beautiful sisters adore people and other cats and dogs, as well as children. They will require outdoor access. 

Hollie

Age: 10 months

Gender: Female

All of Hollie's brothers and sisters have found new homes. She is a little anxious and hides from people at first but once she trusts them, she gives them a lot of love. She is happy around other cats and older children. 

Naomi

Age: Unknown

Gender: Female

Naomi has been in foster care for a long time and loves the finer things in life, like tuna and her fresh running water bowl. She doesn't like being around other cats. 

Pilchard

Age: 1 year

Gender: Male

Pilchard has a lot of character but is not suitable for children under 12 years old. 

Marlene

Age: 1 year

Gender: Female

Marlene is a quiet girl who will need time to come out of her shell. Once she trusts someone she is happy to roll over for a cuddle and say hello.
