The Home For The Holidays event, held from 3pm to 6pm on December 17, offered a festive meal and crucial support to those facing homelessness during a time of year that can be especially difficult.

The heartwarming collaboration between FK Creative Agency, RedCorc Bar & Kitchen, and Divers Community CIC brought together local businesses, volunteers, and organisations to help individuals who might otherwise have gone without.

Guests attending the event were welcomed into RedCorc Bar & Kitchen, where they enjoyed a warm meal and friendly conversation in a festive atmosphere.

Throughout the afternoon, volunteers took the time to listen to the personal stories of rough sleepers, gaining deeper insight into the struggles they face, particularly in the winter months.

For those unable to attend in person, Divers Community CIC’s team went out to deliver takeaway dinners to people who could not leave their usual locations.

Mandy Price from CC Uniforms LTD in West Bromwich contributed food delivery bags, helping extend the reach of the event, and also donated scarves and gloves to Divers Community CIC to aid their ongoing efforts to provide essential items to those in need.

Additionally, City Kebabs, another local business, donated extra food delivery bags, further emphasizing the power of collective community action.

As part of the initiative, the team visited Feedo Needo in Digbeth, Birmingham, an organisation that offers basic essentials like food, toiletries, and free laundry services to people facing homelessness. They delivered 16 meals to the group, extending the event’s impact and ensuring that even more individuals received support.

Speaking about the impact of the initiative, Kayleigh Whittaker, co-founder of FK Creative Agency, said: "We are overwhelmed by the support from the Birmingham community.

"Christmas is about coming together, and the generosity we’ve seen proves that when we all contribute, we can make a real difference in people’s lives.”

Justin Founder of Divers Community CIC added: "This event has highlighted the power of community coming together and collaborations of organisations.”
