Halesowen man arrested and jailed over series of shoplifting offences across Wyre Forest

A Halesowen man has been sentenced to 24 weeks in prison after being charged with a string of shoplifting offences.

Rory Jones was arrested and charged with ten offences relating to shoplifting across Worcestershire, including in Kidderminster.

The 48-year-old, of Yew Tree Place in Halesowen, appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on Tuesday and was sentenced to 24 weeks in prison.

A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "A West Midlands man has been charged with ten offences relating to shoplifting across Worcestershire and was due in court today (Tuesday 17 December).

"Rory Jones, 48, of Yew Tree Place in Halesowen, has been charged with ten counts of theft from shops including Worcester, Kidderminster and Malvern and appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates Court

"He was sentenced to 24 weeks in prison."
