A crew from Haden Cross and a 4x4 brigade response vehicle from Brierley Hill were called to reports of the collision at around 11.10am.

They arrived to find two cars which had been involved in the collision, with two people trapped in one of the vehicles due to their injuries.

Firefighters at the scene used small tools to release them and the service said it believed they were conveyed to Russells Hall Hospital in Dudley after being checked by paramedics at the scene.

A spokesman for West Midlands Fire Service said: "Shortly before 11.10am on Monday, we responded to High Street in the Quarry Bank area of Brierley Hill.
