Hundreds take to country park for sweetest run of the year

Hundreds of runners donned their most festive outfits as they took to Chasewater Country Park to take part in this year's festive Pudding Dash.

The annual festive event, organised by the running management group Nice Work, was bigger and better than ever this year.

It saw elves, Santas, Grinches and a whole array of other Christmas characters took part in the 10k event.

The event started at Chasewater's Innovation Centre, with runners taking a short loop around the centre before heading clockwise around the reservoir to cover two laps for the 10k race and one lap for the 5k race.

Prizes this year included bespoke medals for all race finishers and e-certificates with £5 vouchers for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female finishers in both distances.
