Rapist Albrighton actor Alexander Westwood lied to the bitter end - now his victims will see him sent down

Convinced from an early age his acting skills would achieve him fame, instead, now facing a lengthy prison term for rape, all he has achieved is infamy.

A jury at Wolverhampton Crown Court saw through his lies and found him guilty of all 26 charges put before them.

Convinced his charm and acting skills on the witness stand would convince the jury he was innocent, he tried to talk his way out of 26 individual charges of sexual wrongdoing, including rape, going back to when he was 10 years old.

By pleading not guilty Westwood forced his victims to relive their trauma during the four-week court case. He told the jury each of his accusers had different motivations to falsely accuse him of his crimes. He even convinced his parents to give evidence on his behalf. 

However, due to the patterns of his sexual abuse of different victims over several years, the jury found him guilty of every charge.

From a child Westwood believed he was destined for stardom, first as a gymnast - but despite attending classes at Codsall Church Hall, he never made the grade.
