Two specials will be transmitted  on Monday, December 16, and Friday, December 20, each screening at 12.15pm.

Both will later be repeated on BBC Two – at 7.15am on Wednesday, December 18, and 6.25am on Christmas Day.

Filming took place at The Lichfield Auction Centre, Wood End Lane, Fradley Park, on October 22, with people travelling from all over the country to visit the auction with Richard Winterton yielding the gavel, Eric ‘Sleigh Bells’ Knowles presenting and experts Izzie Balmer and Raj Bisram helping out the Red and Blue teams.

Four episodes were recorded in total, with two being Christmas ones.

Auctioneer Richard Winterton said: “It was wonderful to have our Bargain Hunt friends back to Lichfield with a packed saleroom eager for the auction action.

“This was our third time hosting the Christmas Specials and we had lots of fun filming.

“Don’t miss the episodes as they are sure to be real Christmas crackers.”

The Bargain Hunt team previously came to Lichfield in April, filming episodes including a celebration of the summer of sport with Sally Gunnell OBE, Mark Foster, Dame Sarah Storey and Richard Whitehead MBE.

The Auction Café by Richard Winterton Auctioneers opened at 34 Market Street in Lichfield opened on December 9; the first valuations of jewellery, gold and watches take place on Tuesdays December 10 and 17 between 10am-12.30pm and 1pm-3pm. No appointment is necessary.
