An application to demolish the Perkins Sports and Social Club has been submitted to Stafford Borough Council.

The facility at Perkins’ Tixall Road site previously hosted music nights and had a function room. But the application form stated that the club building had been unused since 2020 “and has been found surplus to requirements”.

The document added: “The former sports and social club to be demolished is of a mostly timber construction, but also consists of brick, plastic cladding and other commonly used building materials. The building is seated on a concrete sub-base at the rear of Perkins’ site.”
