Due to damage caused by Storm Darragh all lines are blocked on the Cross City Line between Lichfield Trent Valley and Birmingham New Street resulting in cancelled or revised train services.

Track operator National Rail said  travellers should expect disruption until the end of the day. Bus replacement services are in operation at affected stations including Four Oaks.

Passengers can use their tickets on National Express West Midlands buses.

There are also issues on the Avanti West Coast Mainline.

Avanti stated: "Journeys to/from London Euston are expected to be cancelled due to a landslip between Tamworth and Nuneaton which is blocking all lines.

"We're expecting services that are still running to be significantly delayed. All journeys to and from London Euston will be diverted via the Midlands due to the location of the landslip, extending journey times by at least 60 minutes.

"Please check your journey before you travel - if you train is cancelled this morning, then you can use your existing ticket to travel on the two Avanti West Coast services either before or after your booked train."
