There were some shocking crimes that were detected and criminals brought to justice in and around the Black Country throughout November. We've taken a look back at some of the biggest misdemeanours that we have reported on throughout the month across Wolverhampton, Walsall, Dudley, Sandwell, Staffordshire and the Wyre Forest.

Our list includes court cases and police probes including violence, drug dealing, dangerous driving and more.

Here are some more crime cases the Express & Star reported on in November.  

Dale Crook left town after killing his wife in their Stafford flat on November 27 last year. The body of 28-year-old Milica Zilic was found with a stab wound to the chest at the Wolverhampton Road flat, and Crook was charged in relation to his Serbian wife's death. 

He was jailed for 11 years and nine months after he admitted to Milica's murder.

Djay Marques fled after causing a serious collision in Telford that left three people with life-changing injuries. The 26-year-old of Carisbrooke Road in Wednesbury, was driving an Audi RS6 dangerously along Parkway in Woodside on November 26 last year at around 5.40pm, when he collided with another vehicle, leaving the occupants badly injured.  

Marques fled the scene, however, due to the impact of the collision, his mobile phone automatically dialled 999. He later handed himself in following a manhunt.

A semi-professional footballer escaped police in a 'lunatic' 140mph chase then lied that his number plate had been cloned to avoid being caught. Keiran Cook, 24 and of Wednesfield, pleaded guilty to charges of perverting the course of justice and dangerous driving when he appeared at Shrewsbury Crown Court.  

He was sentenced to 12 months in prison, suspended for two years.

Daniel Khalife, a former soldier who escaped from prison and went on the run for three days was found guilty of spying for Iran. He was serving in the British Army when he “exposed military personnel to serious harm” by collecting sensitive information and passing it to agents of the Middle Eastern country for cash.
