Man arrested following collision that left cyclist with serious injuries
Police have arrested a driver after a cyclist was seriously injured in a collision Birmingham.

West Midlands Police officers were called to Portland Road in Edgbaston, Birmingham, at around 7.10pm on Wednesday night to a collision involving a black Audi A7 and a cyclist.
The cyclist, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with potentially life changing injuries.
The driver of the Audi fled the scene.
Following enquiries, police were able to locate the vehicle and arrest a 24-year-old man on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes, from the Serious Collisions Investigation Unit (SCIU) said: “We are appealing for any witnesses in the area at the time to come forward. If you have any CCTV footage or dash cam footage then please send it to us.”
