"When I was growing up in Canada, we didn't really have televisions, so oftentimes I would just draw - that's where I really found my passion." Those are the words of budding professional artist, Delilah Lee, whose works of art will be going on show for the first time later this month.

The artist's work will be on show in both The Crossing at St Paul's and New Art Gallery Walsall in the town centre over the December period, available for all to see for free.

Talking about her history of painting, Delilah, 65, who was born in Canada, said: "I just seemed to have a natural knack for it. I always had this innate talent for art, I never took formal lessons so it was all self-taught.

"It's my passion, it's what I've always loved to do."
