Isaac was fatally wounded during a violent confrontation between two groups of youths in New Square Shopping Centre on the evening of April 7 over a robbery which happened in Smethwick earlier that same day.
Eighteen-year-old Reehan Nezir, of Smethwick, and a 14-year-old, who were aged 17 and 13 at the time of the incident, have been standing trial at Bolton Crown Court jointly charged with his murder which was captured by closed circuit television cameras.
However, following three days of legal argument, on Tuesday afternoon the trial was halted after the pair pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter in front of the jury which then found them not guilty of his murder after the Crown Prosecution Service accepted the manslaughter pleas.
In addition, Nezir pleaded guilty to possession of a blade in News Square, and robbery of a bank card and a phone at the hearing.
The 14-year-old, who cannot be publicly named due to being under 18, also pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of a blade.
Trial judge Mr Justice Turner told the jury: "In straightforward terms the prosecution have accepted the pleas that have been given. This also means the defendants guilty pleas pertaining to the robbery and having knives.
