Motorcyclist dies after crash with car near reservoir north of Rugeley

A man has died following a collision between a car and a motorbike in Staffordshire.

The West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the incident near to the junction of Steenwood Lane and the B5013 at Admaston, near to the Blithfield Reservoir north of Rugeley, at 1.44pm on Sunday and sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford to the scene.

Crews discovered a man, the driver of the motorbike, in a critical condition. 

He was sadly confirmed dead at the scene soon after. 

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival crews discovered the motorcyclist, a man, in a critical condition. Sadly, it quickly became apparent nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.

“There were two patients from the car, a man and a toddler. They were both assessed by ambulance staff before being discharged.”
