West Midlands Metro announced on Monday evening that trams would not be running due to a network power outage, affecting "all trams".
It meant there were no trams running from Birmingham Interchange to Wolverhampton, Brierley Hill or any stops inbetween.
Passengers have been advised that their tickets will be accepted on National Express West Midlands buses.
A statement from Transport for West Midlands said: "No trams in operation due to a network power outage. Metro tickets are being accepted on National Express West Midlands buses."
Since the power outage, some services have begun operating again between Edgbaston and St Chads, and between Wednesbury and Wolverhampton.
However, there is still no service from St Chads to Wednesbury.
