Police appeal to identify man with distinctive tattoos who died near disused Halesowen church

Police are appealing for the public's help to identify a man who was found dead near a derelict church in Halesowen.

Officers were called to Hagley Road at around 2pm on October 25 after a man was discovered to have died.

West Midlands Police confirmed there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death and officers are now appealed for help identifying him.

The man was aged in his 50s and was wearing black trainers, dark coloured jeans, a grey hoodie and a black bomber style jacket.

He was around 5ft 9in tall with short dark grey hair and was last seen in Asda in Halesowen at around 5.15pm on October 16.

The man is also described as having had various distinctive tattoos on his arms, including a Liverpool FC design.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said a number of attempts have been made to identify him but have so far been unsuccessful.
