A brief police chase led to a driver with no insurance and an expired licence and a passenger wanted on recall to prison.
The chase happened during an area search of Cannock by the Staffordshire Police Road Crime Team for possible freight crime offenders when a Honda Civic failed to stop for a patrol.
After the brief chase ended, the driver and passenger were arrested following the discovery of no licence, no insurance and a warrant for recall to prison by officers.
A spokesman for the Staffordshire Police Road Crime Team said: "Whilst conducting an area search in Cannock for possible freight crime offenders, a Civic briefly failed to stop for our patrol.
"Driver gave up in the end.
"Turns out driver had expired driving licence and no insurance.
"Unlucky for the passenger as he was wanted on recall to prison."
