Help Jack's Christmas dream come true with Christmas card challenge

Last Christmas, 25-year-old Jack Dart, from Halesowen who lives with cerebral palsy, epilepsy and complex and profound LD (Learning Disabilities), made a Christmas wish to receive as many festive cards as possible from charitable Christmas lovers from across the West Midlands.

This year, Jack's wish is bigger than ever, with hopes that he will receive over 1,000 cards, which his mom says "makes his face light up every time he sees them".Talking about the festive challenge, Jack's mom, Paula, said: "His face lights up every time he sees them, It's really magical.

"Jack has a lot of health issues, living with cerebral palsy, epilepsy, complex and profound learning disorder, and he is non-verbal and tube fed. So seeing his face light up at the number of cars is amazing."

Last year Jack received 724 cards from charitable people across the West Midlands, however this year, Jack wants to go bigger than ever and open over 1,000 cards to put on his festive walls. 

Paula said: "He really does like the cards, he loves to open them and seeing the designs and lovely words, it's one of his favourite things about Christmas. 

"We actually weren't going to do it this year, but so many people have asked if they can send cards again, so we thought we would go bigger this year and try to give him the most magical Christmas ever."

Anyone who wants to help Jack's wish come true can send their cards to C/O The Laurels, 100 Windmill Hill, Halesowen, West Midlands, B63 2BY, where they will collected before being given to Jack to open on Christmas Day.
