The Palfrey centre offers space for many organisations to work from in supporting the surrounding community. Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust, Nash Dom CIC, Walsall Connected, #iMatter Walsall, European Welfare Association, to name just a few, all deliver services from the hub.

Between the organisations they offer special education support, maternity outreach services, language lessons, legal, financial and housing advice, sports and youth clubs, school holiday activity and food programmes and adult classes.

The centre was formerly known as the Palfrey Community Association, but since it stopped its services in 2017, it was without a name. To celebrate the rebranding of the centre, local residents, Palfrey councillor Hajran Bashir and partner organisations joined together to mark the occasion.

Ana Tomulescu, programme development manager at Nash Dom, said: “It is important to build a more resilient and cohesive community here in Walsall, connecting people to understand each other. I believe we are going in the right direction.

“Look at all these children and their parents smiling together. We are proud to deliver our services here and see the impact that we make in this society.”
