Amy Pugh, 34, of Stafford Road, Wolverhampton, was arrested and charged with the murder of Kyle Pugh on Thursday.
Mr Pugh was 29 when he died after being found at an address in Newport on March 22, 2022.
During a brief hearing at Birmingham Crown Court no charges were put to Pugh and no pleas were entered.
