Tomorrow's Tettenhall event has been postponed to Tuesday with Storm Bert set to hit the region soon.
Wolverhampton Council posted on social media: "Get along to the council stand near the Horse and Jockey pub, at Bilston Christmas Lights switch-on later today (Friday) to have your say in the final consultation on improvements to Bilston High Street Link. See shortlisted themes, storyboards and get selfies with Ultimate Elton."
Santa will be in attendance too: the big man confirmed he was Bilston-bound on his WolvesSanta social media account.
He said: "The Bilston Christmas Lights are being switched on tonight at 6.30pm. Join the Bilston Rotary Club Santa Sleigh procession from Bert Turner Boulevard from 6pm. Following the procession you’ll be able to visit Santa in his Grotto opposite Major’s chippy on Church Street."
Wolverhampton Council and Bilston Rotary Club confirmed Tettenhall Christmas lights switch-on was being postponed due to public safety.
The Rotary Club posted: "Due to the anticipated bad weather the switch-on of the Tettenhall Christmas Lights has been postponed until Tuesday November 26 - please share with friends and family."
