A renewed appeal has been launched to find any drivers who may have witnessed a serious collision on the road between Rugeley and Hednesford.

Staffordshire Police has re-launched the appeal to find drivers who were heading south along the A460 at around 6.25am on November 13 and may have witnessed the collision between a grey Vauxhall Corsa and a blue Ford C-Max.

The collision left the drivers of each car in critical condition, with both still in hospital, and the force has asked for anyone with any information to get in touch as soon as possible.

A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: "We are re-appealing for drivers who were heading south along the A460 between Rugeley town and Hednesford to come forward after a serious collision.

"We were called to an RTC at 6.25am last Wednesday to reports of a serious collision involving a grey Vauxhall Corsa and a blue Ford C-Max on Rugeley Road, Hednesford.

"It is important for any witnesses to the collision or those who arrived immediately after to contact us.

"The drivers of both cars were taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital.

"They are both still in a critical condition. Their families are being supported by specialist officers.

"We are keen to speak to anyone with any information, CCTV or dashcam footage which could help collision investigators.

"Call us on 101, quoting incident 70 of 13 November, or message us using Live Chat on our website.

"You can also get in touch with collision investigators directly by emailing ciu@staffordshire.police.uk"
