The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for ice across the region.
So far, snowy conditions have closed schools and halted transport services. Fresh weather warnings were issued amid widespread travel disruption.
The most recent update says that ice patches will form on Tuesday evening from around 5pm and last until approximately 10am on Wednesday, affecting roads, pavements and cycle paths.
Temperatures in Wolverhampton and surrounding areas will plummet to zero degrees at around 8pm on Tuesday.
The Met Office has shared advice for people on how to stay safe during the icy spell.
"Plan to leave the house at least five minutes earlier than normal," it reads.
"Not needing to rush reduces your risk of accidents, slips and falls. If you need to make a journey on foot, try to use pavements along main roads which are likely to be less slippery.
"Similarly, if cycling, try and stick to main roads which are more likely to have been treated. Give yourself the best chance of avoiding delays by checking road conditions if driving, or bus and train timetables, amending your travel plans if necessary."
