Man arrested after Kidderminster crash left three people seriously hurt

A man has been arrested after a crash in Kidderminster which left three people seriously injured.

Ambulance crews rushed to the collision at the junction of Stourport Road and Walter Nash Road at 9.49pm on Monday (November 18).

On arrival, they discovered two women and a man who had were seriously hurt.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "The first patient, a woman, who was the front seat passenger sustained serious injuries and was conveyed by ambulance staff to Queen Elizabeth Hospital under blue light conditions.

“Two further patients, a man and a woman, who were the driver and the rear seat passenger, sustained serious injuries and were treated at the scene before being conveyed to Worcester Royal Hospital.

“The fourth patient, a woman, was assessed at the scene, before being discharged by ambulance staff.”

West Mercia Police confirmed a man had been arrested in connection with the crash.

A spokeswoman for the force: "Officers were called to a two-vehicle collision the A451, Stourport Road in Kidderminster at around 9.50pm on Monday. 

"Three people were taken to hospital with minor and serious injuries, not deemed to be life-threatening. One person was arrested in relation to the collision."
