From Sunday onwards, low pressures are set to sweep through the UK, creating a much more unsettled and colder winter for everyone.
While the north of England is set to receive the majority of high winds and arctic air - the whole of the country, including the West Midlands, will see several days of cold weather and potentially disruptive weather.
So, with colder weather officially on the way, the question stands. Is it set to snow this year?
According to the UK's weather and cliamte service, the Met Office, the answer is - most likely.
According to the weather group, the weekend is expected to be cloudy with patchy rain and drizzle, turning heavier in some areas throughout the afternoon. However, from Sunday through late Tuesday afternoon, the weather will be mostly dry, with a chance of rain or hill snow.
Overnight frost and some snow
So, where is the lovely white snow we are wishing for?
In the group's long-range forecast, they predict cold or very cold conditions from Tuesday onwards, with wintery showers in the northern areas of the West Midlands.
We are expecting to see plenty of overnight frost and occasionally strong winds, resulting in a "significant wind chill", Met Office forecasters say.
The group also said that there may be some more "organised weather" of rain and snow, which accompanied by strong winds, can create disruptive weather in some areas.
Hilly snow and changeable weather
Looking on from Friday, November 29 to Friday, December 13, the group predicts mixed changeable weather, however, they also say that in general, the weather will trend towards "drier and more settled conditions."
The Met Office went on to say that "there is a chance of more changeable weather at times", which would see some wetter and windier interludes with a risk of some snow, especially in hilly areas."
Temperatures are expected to remain at average for the majority of the West Midlands, especially in the south.
So is it going to snow in the West Midlands and what should we do if it does?
So, while it may be a bit too early to get the snowboards and skis out just yet, there may still be a chance to see some early snow just before the Christmas month.
The Met Office has advised that the best places to see snow this early on would be higher areas in the north, so if you're into the colder weather, throw on a coat and get a flask of hot chocolate and head to the hills.
On staying safe in the cold weather, Dr Siama Latif, NHS 24's associate medical director, said: "When the weather gets colder this can have an impact on everyone’s health and wellbeing, but especially those who could be considered vulnerable, such as the very young, the elderly, or those with long-term health conditions.
" If you need to be out and about during a cold spell, make sure you wrap up warmly and wear shoes with good grip to try and avoid any slips, trips, or falls."
